Meet Capt. Jim & Lindsey
Capt. Jim holds a United States Coast Guard Master license with sail endorsement. Jim started his sailing career at the age of 9 racing sunfish up and down the new jersey coast. He has also raced on J22's, J27's and J29's.
Lindsey, the admiral, was a beach bum until she discover the joys of sailing and boating. She now can be seen on a boat more then a sandy beach. Lindsey is the type of person who when you meet her you feel like you have been friends forever.
Together Jim and Lindsey started Laughing Buddha Charters to share the love they have for sailing with other people. Join them on a sunset sailing experience in OCNJ!

Meet the boat - Laughing Buddha
Laughing Buddha is an O'day 28'. She spent most of her life sailing the Chesapeake bay area. After Jim and Lindsey purchased her, they introduced her to the beautiful salt air and summer breeze of the Jersey shore. But boats are made for adventure so they sail her back and forth to the Chesapeake each spring and fall so she can spend her summers sailing in Ocean City NJ.
Laughing Buddha gets her name from one of the most joyful and uplifting symbols in the world - a reminder to embrace happiness, gratitude, and the beauty of the moment. So step aboard, leave you worries on the dock, grab a drink and let the ocean do the rest!
Our Sailing Services
2.5-3 Hr. Sunset Sail
We recommend 2 people for the most comfortable and personal sailing experience but we can accommodate up to 4 guests.
2 guest – $250
4 guest – $350
4-5Hr Day Sailing
If you are looking for more of an adventure and more sailing. We offer a longer ocean sailing experience.

Useful information:
-Saturday afternoon is the busiest day of the week in the bay. If you can the best days and time are off hours like Sunday evening.
-Evening high tides and full moons are the best times to sail the bay. 2026 Full moons are June 29th / July 29th / August 27 / Sept 26.
-Sailing is all about using the winds. Sometime there is a lot and sometimes there is no wind. Please be prepared for different conditions.
-The charter is BYOB. Please use soft cooler, cans, no glass and limit red wine (it loves to stain fiberglass)
-If you enjoyed your sailing charter, gratuity is always appreciated and will ensure a glass being raised in your name and honor!!
